Ingredients for Okroshka (3-4 portions)

Fresh Cucumbers – 300 gr
Boiled Potatoes – 4 pcs
Boiled Eggs – 4 pcs
Greenery (in classic recipe, parsley or dill) – 1 bundle
Sour cream – 4 tablespoons
Mustard – 2 teaspoons
Salt (to your taste)
Sparkling mineral water (cold) – 1 liter
How to cook Okroshka – Step-by-step guide:
Step 1.
BOIL EGGS AND POTATOES, PEEL THEM, CUT INTO PIECES
Step 2.
CHOP CUCUMBERS AND GREENERY INTO SMALL PIECES
Step 3.
MIX SOURCREAM AND MUSTARD
Step 4.
MIX ALL THE INGREDIENTS IN A BOWL, ADD WATER, AND SERVE TO PLATES
TIP: according to your taste, you might want to add some lemon juice, substitute parsley with coriandre or other greenery, substitute a part of water with kefir / ayran if you’d like it to be thicker, and even add some grilled chicken or sausages.

Окрошка на минеральной воде
Как приготовить окрошку на минеральной воде? Окрошка – это очень простое и вкусное летнее блюдо.
На 3-4 порции вам понадобятся:
Картофель отварной – 4 штуки
Огурцы свежие – 300 грамм
Зелень (петрушка, укроп) – 1 пучок
Сметана – 4 столовых ложки
Горчица – 2 чайных ложки
Соль по вкусу
Минеральная вода газированная – 1 литр
Приготовление:
Отварите картофель и яйца, очистите и нарежьте мелкими кубиками.
Огурцы и зелень мелко нарежьте. Смешайте сметану и горчицу.
Затем соедините овощи, яйца и зелень в миске, перемешайте и разложите по тарелкам.
Добавьте сметану и горчицу, влейте холодную минеральную воду прямо в тарелки.
Посолите окрошку на минеральной воде по вкусу и подавайте на стол.

My grandma used to cook a lot of traditional Russian dishes, and when asked how much of each ingredient to put, she would say “na glaz”(something like “your eyes will tell you”) )))))).
